i wouldn’t say donovan mitchell is having a bad season or in “decline” i would say that he is forced to take a lot of shots because of who he plays with, not saying that his teammates aren’t good, but he is probably the best offensive player and he’s only in his second season. He is probably gonna take some bad shots and make a few mistakes.
And with tatum, the celtics are still integrating hayward into the game and still experiencing more injuries to other players on top of that. That team is still really good, but haven’t gotten better since last year while other teams have acclimated to the play style of this era. Individually, the celtics players are great but they’re still trying to gel togather

Both are in their second year. Teams have had an entire season to play against them. The scouting reports are in the jury is back. Both players are guilty of being able to single handedly determine the out come of ball games. So,dont wage how good they are now compared to last year. They are both monsters and will be fine. The worst thing that can happen to a first year young player is to become solid during the regular season and raise havoc in the play offs. Simply,because the word is out. Stephen A & Max both made good points...the Celtics may actually have "too much"...Tatum got used to being the go to guy with Kyrie out & now that he's back (not so much Heyward) he's not being depended on as much & him being as young as he is, is trying to find his way so far this season...Mitchell is a volume shooter who doesn't have anyone else on his team who can really create for themselves...hence the bad shot selection & low shooting percentage...it wasn't great last year, but this year he's having a much harder time getting open looks...both will be fine...in the case of the Celtics, sometimes less is more...Rozier is a little lost too not playing as many minutes...Celtics can overcome, not sure about the Jazz
